mq2:
what contributed to changing european views of asians and africans in the 19th century?
- europe developed a secular arrogance that replaced their notions of religious superiority, dropping opinions of other cultures in the process
- europeans started viewing Asians/Africans through racism, expressed through modern science
- scientists studied the size/shape of the skull and developed the belief that whites were the superior race
- biologists applied the classification of plants and animals to humans as well
- as diseases took hold, people believed that contact with “inferior” people threatened the health of “superior” people
- applying evolutionary thinking of Charles Darwin to understanding of human history (social Darwinism)
do i have too many details? or not enough?

You seem to hit most of the key ideas! Here are a few details I spotted that support the main points you made:

-One reason Europeans developed a secular arrogance was because of achievements during the Industrial Era: they "unlocked the secrets of nature, created a society of unprecedented wealth, and used both to produce unsurpassed military power".
-Using modern science to justify racism led Europeans to believe that their expansion was inevitable.
-The belief that whites were the superior race generated a sense of responsibility to civilize the "weaker races".
-Social Darwinism was based on "Survival of the Fittest", allowing the strong to flourish while the weak died out. This made imperialism, war, and aggression seem completely natural.

Side note: No MQ for "Outcomes: Comparing China and the Ottoman Empire" or "American Intrusion and the Meiji Restoration".

in what ways did the industrial revolution shape the character of nineteenth century european imperialism?
-the enormous productivity of industrial technology and europe's growing affluence created the need for raw materials and agricultural products
-Europe needed to sell its own products
-European investors found it more profitable to invest abroad and it benefitted socially amongst the workers
-mass nationalism grew after the unification italy and germany
-provided a new means for oversea expansion with steam driven ships, underwater telegraph, quinine medication, and weapons like the machine gun and breech loading rifles.

any suggestions?

tip: when recalling the answers to #12, i mentally play it to the partridge family theme song ("come on get happy"). It works if you have no sense on musical rhythm like me
-Unequal treaties were changed in Japan's favor
-they launched their own empire building enterprise
and left control over taiwan, korea, manchuria
-fought successful wars with china and russia (come on get happy)
-became a military and political competitor to the west
-became an inspiration and possible ally
against imperialism!

so it does work if you repeat the same part of the song over and over again. catchy.
